Guitarist and award-winning songwriter Timo Arthur has been a performing musician for over thirty years. From winning the 2013 Atlanta Blues Challenge in the solo/duo category, to multiple performance residencies in China, to placing in the top 1% of songwriters in songwriting competitions, to having shared the stage with countless award-winning artists, Timo Arthur never fails to impress. Since winning the 2013 Atlanta Blues Challenge with bassist Tamara Nicolai, he has since gone on to tour with highly acclaimed artists such as Brandon Santini, Gracie Curran, Annika Chambers, and Gina Sicilia. Timo played on Brandon Santini's 2015 release Live & Extended, a live album which was ranked by Living Blues magazine as one of the top 20 most played blues albums in the world of that year, as well as Brandon's most recent studio release The Longshot, released on March 15, 2019 on the American Showplace label, which debuted at #7 on the Billboard Blues chart! In addition to his guitar playing, Timo's songwriting skills have also garnered serious acclaim. In 2016, he recorded his piano ballad "Sing Me Into Heaven (for Eva Cassidy)", a song he wrote in tribute to the late singer. The recording features Eva's brother Daniel Cassidy on violin and received a "Runner Up" award in the 2017 "Song Of The Year" competition. It was also a finalist in the 2017 Memphis Songwriters' Association songwriting contest. For 2019, Timo will be hitting the road again with Brandon Santini in support of the aforementioned The Longshot release, in addition to continuing to further his own musical pursuits. Also, be on the lookout for the new band Tennessee Redemption, featuring Timo Arthur, Brandon Santini, and Jeff Jensen, whose debut album and tour is scheduled for release in September of 2019!
