From winning the 2013 Atlanta Blues Challenge in the solo/duo category, to multiple performance residencies in China, to placing in the top 1% of songwriters in songwriting competitions, to having shared the stage with countless award-winning artists, Memphis-based guitarist Timo Arthur never fails to impress. Since winning the 2013 Atlanta Blues Challenge, he has since gone on to tour with highly aclaimed blues artists Brandon Santini and Gracie Curran. Timo played on Brandon Santini's 2015 release "Live & Extended", which was ranked by Living Blues magazine as one of the top 20 most played blues albums in the world for that year. In addition to his guitar playing, Timo's songwriting skills have also won him much acclaim. In 2016, he recorded his piano ballad "Sing Me Into Heaven (for Eva Cassidy)", a song he wrote in tribute to the late singer. The recording features Eva's brother Daniel Cassidy on violin and received a "Runner Up" award in the 2017 "Song Of The Year" competition. It was also a finalist in the 2017 Memphis Songwriters' Association songwriting contest. For 2018, Timo will be hitting the road again with Brandon Santini and Gracie Curran as well as continuing to further his own musical pursuits.
